Johnny Alf - Rapaz de Bem (1961)

I have been trying to find a reason for taken a year to show this album to Loronixers, a important album to everybody who wants to know more about early Bossa Nova develops by an early Bossa Nova figure, the great Johnny Alf. Perhaps I'm getting blink by the way, this cover looks very much like Compact 33 by Leny Andrade and Tamba Trio and maybe I was taken it by mistake as a driven by cover artwork parrot I am.

This is Johnny Alf - Rapaz de Bem (1961), for RCA Victor, Johnny Alf debut LP. Johnny Alf was an active musician since the early 50's and could only make this first LP in 1961. Little is known about this LP, however, the tireless Maria Luiza Kfouri from Discos do Brasil (http://www.discosdobrasil.com.br) identified Maestro Nelsinho as arranger and also trombonist on some tracks, which is also a guarantee of nice arrangements and trombone playing as Nelsinho uses to make on everything he takes part. Tracks include:

- Rapaz de Bem (Johnny Alf)
- Escuta (Johnny Alf)
- Feitiçaria (Custódio Mesquita / Evaldo Ruy)
- Fuga (Durval Ferreira)
- Tema Sem Palavras (Maurício Einhorn / Durval Ferreira)
- Penso Em Você (Fernando Lobo / Paulo Soledade)
- O Que É Amar (Johnny Alf)
- Fim de Semana Em Eldorado (Johnny Alf)
- Que Vou Dizer Eu (Victor Freire / Klécius Caldas)
- Ilusão à Toa (Johnny Alf)
- Tudo Distante de Mim (Johnny Alf)
- Vem (Johnny Alf)
