Raulzinho e Impacto 8 - International Hot (1969)

International Hot is the last Raul de Souza album recorded in Brazil before making the acclaimed Colors for Milestone in the USA. Before Colors, Raul de Souza was Raulzinho. It has been a while since the last Raul de Souza release, the excellent Rio with Conrad Herwig. Raul is great and his discography has many albums, most of them out of print, I think we can make Raulzinho more often at Loronix.

This is Raulzinho e Impacto 8 - International Hot (1969), for Equipe. Raul de Souza and his group Impacto 8 were active for one year and recorded only this album for Equipe. Perhaps they assembled Impacto 8 only for this record, with no concerts. International Hot is a blend of Samba with American pop of that time. The outcome is a dancing album full of brass and electric guitars, a very different work in comparison to what we know as the other Raul de Souza works. Personnel features excellent musicians that became renowned in the forthcoming years, such as the drummer Robertinho Silva and the legendary Oberdan Magalhaes. Tracks include:
